Hot New Hair Trend – Braids

By Jeanine M

French braids, or buns as they are also known, are a particular form of hairstyle in which all the hair is in braids together into one single braided strand. The braids can begin at the scalp and then they proceed downward at the crown, ending at the bottom of the head. There are many different looks that can be achieved with the French braids. Many people choose to add a bit of sparkle to their braids with the French braids, and this can be done by choosing a contrasting colored braid, or even choosing to make the French braids opaque.

One particular look that can be achieved with the French braids is the triangle box braids. In order to achieve this look, the hair must be damp, and the hair must be layered using a large section of hair on the front of the hair. Once the hair has been layered, it must be parted on the sides. A small section of hair on either side of the triangle should be cut perpendicular to the hair line, and this hair section should be braided into three sections, which correspond to the Braiding Horseman (top), Buns (middle) and Box Braids (bottom).

Another way of achieving the triangle braids is the French twist. In this particular style, the hair extensions are braided into narrow strips, and these strips are then interwoven together with small sections of hair on the front of the hair. In order to create the illusion of long hair, the strip braids can be used to add height. This particular style is usually created by using curly hair extensions. Any combination of these styles, and other similar ones such as the box braids, are all still very much in fashion at the moment!

The cornrows are yet another funky hair extension option that is very popular with women who are looking to create a trendy, edgy, youthful appearance. The cornrow is made up of braids which are woven into tight rows. The cornrow will not only add height to the hair but also adds an illusion of thick, fuller, shaggy hair. In the hot short hair trend, the cornrows are often combined with the long buns to create a softer look.

The French braid one side style is very similar to the previous styles, but the only difference is the placement of the braids. In the braid one side style, the braids are placed on the outside of the head, just beyond the ear. A few strands of wild hair are left on the side, and the end of this hair is braided into another small braids. The French braid one side looks great in almost any hairstyle, and any woman can pull this off! No longer do women need to wear a ponytail with these styles!

When the hair has been braided into a few small braids, the hair is then pinched up at the nape of the neck. This creates a neat, low bun with plenty of volume at the nape. It is also easy to create a fishtail braid by pinning all of the braids together. The final step is to secure the hair in a ponytail with a wide elastic band.
